No Telescope Needed

Description:
Spectacular, night-sky view from a small forest clearing on a satellite of the planet, Kronos. A nearby nebula shares the celestial sphere with the ringed giant. No need for a telescope when the beauty of the heavens is this close.

Tools Used:
UIC plug-ins and Photoshop 7.
Starfield made from stars and textured stars UIC filters. Larger stars are all UIC distant stars behind lens flares. Nebula made from layered interstellar gas and nebula filters, tweaked with emboss, levels, and threshold PS filters. Planet Kronos created with UIC planet filter. Trees in foreground cropped from a picture, darkened and blurred.

I love what I can do with UIC.
