Astronomy & Education Links

If you know of any special websites that you like about space, please let us know and we'll include them below.

This is a database of JPL/Caltech generated planetary maps.   This is the place where Jess Diard got the image maps for the planet textures in UIC Plugin's Planet Filter.   There are more that you can download here.   They can be quite large so we only included a few in the UIC Plugins.

NASA's website has many interesting topics about space.  You can see photographs of space as well as illustrations of what artists think some of the space phenomena may look like.   Some of these images look like they could be created in UIC.

Here's a cool place for kids to check out.  It also includes a "Teachers Corner" and an Educational Link to more activities.

Welcome to the Saturn Observation Campaign.   This site has some great information about Saturn.   Compare their image of Saturn and the one you can create in UIC Plug-in's Planet Filter.   This is also a NASA site.
