Question: I can create a star field fine in Universe v1.63, but can't create any of the other objects such as nebula, star, etc.. How do I display the other objects?
Answer: The star field will be added if you simply click on the background image. However, for the other objects to appear, you will need to tell Universe how large to make them and where to place them by clicking and dragging your mouse. This creates a box that the object will be placed into.
Question: Will Universe do the pictures in true color?
Answer: Yes, all pictures are 24 bit true color.

Question: Does Universe Image Creator work with the Macintosh Operating System?
Answer: Currently, Universe Image Creator (Stand Alone or Plug-ins) does not work on the Macintosh Operating System.
Question: I've installed Universe Image Creator Plugins but when I create an image, I get "Register at Diard Software" all over the image. What is going on?
Answer: You are operating the software in its "Shareware Mode". Some of the elements are FREE and can be used. These include: Stars, Textured Stars, and the Nebula. You can access the other filters so that you can see how they work. However, they will display the "Register at Diard Software" text as a watermark on the image when that filter is rendered. Once you register your copy of UIC, the remaining filters will be enabled and the watermark will be removed.
Question: What are the image sizes supported by Universe Image Creator and what is the resolution?
Answer: It is 24bit resolution and the image size can be any size your computer can support. To do this, pull down the file menu and select New. The "Set Image Size" dialog appears and you enter the image size you want, for example: 1280x1200. To calculate the memory required to work on this image, you multiply the image size by 3 (bytes). So, it would need 1280x1200x 3bytes = 4.6Mbytes of memory to handle this image size.

Answer: The additional files has nothing to do with the file being downloaded. It's Internet Explorer's way of doing a download. When it downloads to a slower disk, such as drive A, this other popup window will sometimes show up because of the slowness of drive A.
